ASA Filament
Siddament ASA filament — the material to reach for when a part lives outside. ASA carries the strength and durability of ABS but adds genuine UV stability and weather resistance, so parts hold their colour and mechanical properties in Australian sun instead of going brittle and chalky.
Suited to outdoor fittings, automotive trim, garden and irrigation parts, signage and anything else facing long-term exposure. Available in Black, White and Blue.
ASA prints best in an enclosure with good ventilation — this is not optional, and it is the most common reason people give up on the material. Full detail here: Will ASA survive an Australian summer?
Print settings: 250–270°C nozzle, 80–100°C bed, enclosed and ventilated, dried at 80°C for 2–4 hours. Full temperature guide →
